Capcom Confirmed for gamescom 2025 With Playable Resident Evil Requiem and Onimusha
Capcom will also be returning to gamescom in 2025. The recently announced Resident Evil Requiem and Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be available for the public to play for the first time worldwide.
Today, Capcom confirmed its participation in gamescom 2025, where Resident Evil Requiem and Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be playable by the public for the first time worldwide. This announcement follows the release of the latest trailers for the two games at the Summer Game Fest 2025 Showcase.
Spanning over 950 square metres, Capcom will have more than 85 playable demo stations featuring titles such as Resident Evil: Requiem and Onimusha: The Way of the Sword. The company will also bring other titles to the show, which will take place from 20 to 24 August 2025. Further details on the line-up, stage and streaming programme will be announced at a later date. For those unable to attend the event in person, Capcom will offer live-streamed content from the exhibition grounds.
Resident Evil Requiem, the ninth title in the main Resident Evil series, is set for release on 27 February 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. The game was announced at Summer Game Fest. Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set in Kyoto during the early Edo period. This game is set for release in 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
