Elden Ring Nightreign Reaches 100,000 Sales in Germany
In May 2025, the game association presented only one game Sales Award. Elden Ring Nightmare from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco Entertainment received a Gold award in recognition of achieving sales of over 100,000 in Germany.
In May 2025, game - the German Games Industry Association - awarded a game Sales Award in Gold to Elden Ring Nightreign, developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The game had sold over 100,000 copies since its release on 29 May 2025 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S in Germany. Five days after its release, the game had amassed 3.5 million players worldwide. This spin-off can be played alone or cooperatively with up to three other players. Further improvements are planned for later this year, including a duos mode for two players.
No further Sales Awards were presented in May 2025. In April 2025, Split Fiction by Hazelight Studios and Electronic Arts received a Platinum game Sales Award for selling more than 200,000 copies, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered by Bethesda Softworks received a Gold game Sales Award. However, in March 2025, three Platinum Awards were handed out: Assassin's Creed Shadows by Ubisoft; Kingdom Come Deliverance II by Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver, and Monster Hunter Wilds by Capcom.
The game Sales Award is presented by game, the German Games Industry Association, to recognise the best-selling computer and video games in Germany. It is based on the latest sales figures from Video Games Europe's industry panel, GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles that sell more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies across all platforms in Germany within the first 12 months of release are eligible for a game Sales Award in the Gold, Platinum, Double Platinum or Multi-Platinum categories.
