Game Gives Platinum for Split Fiction, Gold for Oblivion Remaster

Almost 20 years after its release, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion has received a Game Sales Award in Gold for selling over 100,000 units as a remastered edition. This makes the Bethesda title one of only two games to meet the criteria for one of the Sales Award levels in April. The second title is Split Fiction. The game from Electronic Arts had already surpassed the 100,000 units sold mark in March and received a Gold Award. However, in April, sales since launch exceeded 200,000 units, meaning that Split Fiction now receives the Platinum Award. Incidentally, The Elder Scrolls Oblivion did not receive a Sales Award in Germany when it was originally marketed, partly because its release fell between the end of the former VUD association and the resumption of the Sales Awards by the BIU.
