One of the most popular mobile esports titles, Brawl Stars, is coming to gamescom in Cologne as part of the partnership between the ESL Faceit Group and Supercell.

The Snapdragon Pro Series, presented by the ESL Faceit Group and Qualcomm Technologies, in partnership with Supercell, has announced that the Brawl Stars Last Chance Qualifier for the Snapdragon Pro Series Brawl Stars Championship 2024 will take place at gamescom in Cologne on 24 to 25 August. The live event will be open to all visitors.

"gamescom is an iconic moment for the gaming industry, and we're proud to be returning to the event for the third year in a row in partnership with Supercell," said Sam Braithwaite, VP of Game Ecosystems, Mobile, ESL Faceit Group. "This is the perfect event to do it with; The Last Chance Qualifier represents the esports storylines fans love – hungry underdogs fighting for their place on the world stage - and celebrates how mobile's accessibility can be a path to the highest level of pro play."

The Last Chance Qualifier is designed to enrich the mobile gaming community in Germany. According to the quarterly update of the Newzoo Global Games Market Report May 2024, over 33 million people in Germany play on smartphones. Brawl Stars has over five million active players, according to Sensor Tower App Analytics. It is said to be one of the most popular mobile games in Germany.

"Hosting the Last Chance Qualifier at gamescom brings competition in one of Germany's most popular mobile games to a passionate audience," said Kim Jensen, Head of Brawl Stars Esports, Supercell. "We're looking forward to sharing this pivotal moment on the road to the Brawl Stars World Finals with hundreds of thousands of attendees."

The Snapdragon Pro Series will take place for the third time at gamescom. The Last Chance Qualifier will bring together twelve of the best Brawl Stars teams from Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, China, and the Americas. They will compete for a share of the total prize pool of up to 2,000,000 USD and one of the remaining four spots at the Snapdragon Pro Series Brawl Stars World Finals 2024. The tournament will take place in Hall 8 of gamescom, which will be transformed into a mobile esports theme park, according to ESL Faceit Group. Visitors will be able to participate in various games to earn tickets that can be redeemed for prizes.

The Snapdragon Pro Series is a mobile esports league launched by ESL Faceit Group and Qualcomm Technologies in April 2022. It is aimed at both beginners and professionals.
