"Bisalina Speedruns Powered by REWE" Raises Almost 12,000 Euros for Charity
The Bisalina and SK Gaming charity event "Bisalina Speedruns powered by REWE", which took place at the end of November in Cologne, raised almost 12,000 Euros for charity. The money will be donated to Unicef Germany and SOS Children's Villages worldwide.
On 30 November, the charity event "Bisalina Speedruns powered by REWE" took place at the SK Gaming Magenta facility. A total of €11,626 was raised, which will go to Unicef Germany and SOS Children's Villages worldwide. Part of the money will come from an ongoing eBay auction, the proceeds of which are still being counted. The charity auction was hosted by voice actors Vivian Faber and Vincent Fallow, who have voiced characters from Horizon Forbidden West and One Piece.
Organiser Lucina "Bisalina" Hum thanked everyone involved: "It's incredible to see how much positive impact we can have together. The support of REWE, the creators and our guests made this charity event for Unicef and SOS Children's Villages so successful. The opportunity to do something good with games continues to motivate me, and I'm already looking forward to the next event."
The event included speed runs, gaming tournaments and sports challenges. More than 30 content creators (like Sarahtoninx9, Vicotryona, Leys3r, Primalavera, BigSpin, GustafGabel, Dinossindgeil, Dävid, Bubzia and media lawyer Christian Solmecke) competed in the Rewe Challenges, taught video game beginners time-based tasks and took part in the charity auction. Among the 75 guests were prominent figures from politics and business, including Nathanael Liminski, Minister for Federal and European Affairs, International Affairs and Media of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
