It came as no surprise that Ubisoft's showcase was dominated by Star Wars Outlaws and Assassin's Creed Shadows. However, the French publisher had a few surprises in store, and not just Anno 117: Pax Romana.

The Ubisoft Forward 2024 showcase largely focused on the French publisher's two major 2024 releases: Star Wars Outlaws (30 August) and Assassin's Creed Shadows (15 November). For Star Wars Outlaws, viewers saw emerging scoundrel Kay Vess head to Tatooine, with a closer look at Mos Eisley, to track down an expert gunslinger to improve her blaster skills. From Assassin's Creed Shadows, the publisher showed both playable characters and their unique combat styles: Yasuke dominates through strength, while Naoe uses stealth and tools to take out enemies from the shadows. The video also showed off the dynamic world of feudal Japan, including the changing seasons and weather that will affect gameplay.

In addition to the announcement of Anno 117: Pax Romana (GamesMarkt reported), Just Dance VR was shown for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro and Meta Quest 3. It will be released on 15 October 2024. The VR game will also feature Dancity, a social hub where players can come together and play minigames or show off their customized avatars.

During Ubisoft Forward, three announcements were made regarding the Prince of Persia franchise. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will receive a story DLC called Mask of Darkness. The Rogue Prince of Persia, currently in Early Access and scheduled for release in 2025, got its first major update to the game as well as the Meta Progression skill tree. Finally, the remake of Prince of Persia: Sands of Time will be released in 2026.

The Crew Motorfest is getting a new playground, the volcanic island of Maui, when Year 2 kicks off in November with Season 5. The game is also adding a premium PvE experience called The Chase Squad, in which players team up to learn the art of the chase. In case of Skull And Bones, there was a look at the upcoming content and the new PvP mode with Season 3. The Sky Breaker, the first story pack for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, will launch on 16 July. Ubisoft will also release the game on Steam on 17 June.

A new Monopoly game is coming this September for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store and Steam. Ubisoft: "Now, the classic tabletop experience is brought to life as players can look at and explore a dynamic neighborhood as they move around the board, uncovering hidden tokens and Mr. Monopoly along the way. And, in an homage to real-life frustrations Monopoly can bring, players will be able to flip the digital board. Monopoly will also offer a customizable experience, whether that's choosing a favorite set of dice or token aesthetic, creating a homemade rule set, or enabling a Fast Mode that uses speed die and pushes for faster board progression and shorter matches. Players can dive into Monopoly with up to five other friends, either in couch co-op or in online matches."

The XDefiant team teased the new content coming when Season 1 launches on 2 July (new faction: GSK, Capture the Flag mode, new weapons and maps). The Division 2 Year 6 Season 1 "First Rogue" will be released on 11 June. All The Division 2 players will be able to get their characters to level 40 without needing to own the Warlords of New York expansion. First Rogue introduces Seasons 2.0, a new progression system that allows players to create a season-specific character. Last but not least: BattleCore Arena, the free-to-play PvP platform shooter, is now in Early Access on PC via Ubisoft Connect, the Epic Games Store and Steam.
