Around 200 People Attend Nerdicon 2025
On 12 and 13 June 2025, Leipzig once again became a meeting place for people from the games and development scene. The second Nerdicon event attracted around 200 participants to the Hochschule Macromedia Leipzig and neighbouring R42 on both days.
Spanning two days, Nerdicon 2025 focused on game development, creative processes, teamwork, audio, narrative design and much more. The varied programme of talks, workshops and interactive formats provided opportunities for discussion and networking, such as the 'FuckUp Night' featuring Julien Schillinger (PandaBee Studios) and Jana Reinhardt (Rat King Entertainment), moderated by Stefan Schmidt (Indie Hub), which offered candid insights.
"We are delighted that the participants had fun and took away lots of inspiration. Our goal is to facilitate exchange, share knowledge, and strengthen the gaming community in Central Germany," said the organising team. They added that the feedback on the event was overall very positive.
The event was supported by Ur-Krostitzer, Turtle Beach, LC-Power and the hosts, the Hochschule Macromedia Leipzig and R42. The Nerdicon is organised by Nerdic. Marcus Klöppel, Professor of Game Design and Development at Hochschule Macromedia Leipzig and Managing Director at Narradiver, is also involved. Emilia Weigelt is supporting the project as Project Manager at Narradiver.
