Ubisoft to Cut 185 More Jobs, Some of Them in Düsseldorf
As part of its ongoing restructuring, Ubisoft will be cutting more jobs at Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm and Ubisoft Reflections. Another studio in the UK will be closed completely.
Ubisoft is to make a further 185 jobs redundant in Europe. The sites affected are Ubisoft Düsseldorf, Ubisoft Stockholm and Ubisoft Reflections (in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK). According to information provided to us by the company, around 65 jobs will be cut in Düsseldorf. In addition, Ubisoft Leamington in Leamington Spa (UK) will close completely. The studio was called FreeStyleGames before it was taken over by Ubisoft (DJ Hero series) and worked mainly as a support studio. A spokesperson told Eurogamer that around 50 people are affected by the closure of Ubisoft Leamington.
