New Media Funding: Over €1.3 Million for New Games and XR Projects
Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg is funding more games and XR projects. More than €700,000 will go to five games and almost €600,000 to five XR projects.
At its summer meeting, the MBB's New Media funding programme is supporting 14 projects in the fields of games, XR experiences and serial formats with a total of around two million euros. More than 700,000 Euros will go to games and almost 600,000 Euros to XR projects. The games range from hidden object puzzles (Hidden Tales) to survival exploration games (Wanderburg), action role-playing games (Project Desert) and a point-and-click game (Later). Two XR experiences focus on serious topics: Eddie and I lets users experience the world of a deaf child, while Body/Memory deals with breast cancer. Both production companies presented other funded projects at Venice Immersive in 2023 (Reynard Films: competition winner Emperor, Daring House: Tales of the March).
