Between September 2023 and March 2024, [Tiny Roar](/company/tiny-roar) has hired a total of new employees. These new hires include both newcomers to the industry as well as experienced professionals who have found their new place at the Hamburg-based studio after various studio closures and waves of layoffs. 

"We are aware of the privileged position of being able to experience growth in these times, and therefore, we are even more delighted that we have been able to recruit such fantastic colleagues. We have ambitious plans ahead and have found exactly the right people for them," said Maurice Hagelstein and Robert Koch, founders and CEOs of Tiny Roar. "It is important to us to increase expertise through seniority, but also to give newcomers with great potential the opportunity to grow with us."

The opportunity to expand the team was made possible in large part by the involvement of the Aonic Group, which acquired a majority stake in Hamburg-based indie studio Tiny Roar in June last year. 

Tiny Roar is currently working on two projects: "Wanderful" and "Lou's Lagoon". Both games have a cozy style, but the gameplay in each is unique: While "Wanderful" is a genre-mixing roguelike, "Lou's Lagoon" will have you exploring different islands and delivering goods (by plane!) to satisfy the needs of their inhabitants.

Christian Bittkau: "Small companies have it hard at the moment in the industry and I myself was left heartbroken by losing a team that had given me a crazy, rowdy but passionate environment which was impacted by our current situation. I was picked up by a kindred spirit of a company, Tiny Roar, where my role surrounds the same goals of taking agency over how to move the boat further together while being myself and growing marvelous ideas together. I can't wait to see how my adventure continues."

Jennifer Heinz: "Having completed my training in Illustration Design, I was determined to start my career in the gaming industry. This goal felt so distant, which is why I am all the more grateful to have been accepted into the Tiny team right away! I have already learned so much and am thrilled to be part of such a motivated and warm-hearted team."

Franziska Schümann: "I got to know Tiny Roar, at the time still a team of four, through an internship for which I applied with my very first 3D model. With their help, I learned the basics of the profession as a 3D artist and continued to focus on this path during my subsequent Game Design studies. After my first job, I sought a change to escape the home office and remembered the loving team at Tiny Roar. One thing led to another, and I returned to the place where it all began."

Ines Neumann: "After losing my previous job, I had to face the reality of finding a position in Marketing and Community Management in Germany's current games industry landscape. Luckily, I found the perfect opportunity at Tiny Roar: working here not only allows me to remain in Northern Germany but also enables me to contribute to wholesome game projects alongside a passionate team. In-house Marketing at a small studio is a rare gem, and I'm grateful that Tiny Roar took this leap forward."
