Subotron Shows Austrian Student Live Pitch & gamescom Presence

Austrian game industry supporter Subotron is calling for students to submit projects for their Live Pitch until 8 September. The Vienna organisation is also at gamescom and can be found at the Advantage Austria booth, bringing studios like Broken Rules, Clockwork Bird and Terragami with it.

Until 8 September 2025, student game development teams from Austria can submit their project to the Subotron Live Pitch. A jury consisting of Conny Lee (Moderator FM4), Vivien Schreiber (UI/UX-Designer Mi’pu’mi), Rainer Angermann (CEO Rarebyte), Johannes Gäbler (Solo Developer Dreihaus Studio) and Albert Gerlach (Funding Consultant) will review the entries and select finalists. The finalists will pitch in front of Philomena Schwab (Co-Founder Stray Fawn, Zurich), Regina Reisinger (Co-Founder Microbird Games) and Dietmar Hauser (Principal Software Engineer Epic Games) on 21 November 2025 in a Live Pitch Event. Before that, the finalist teams will get extrensive pitch training, coaching and evaluations of the commercial prospects of their games. The Subotron Student Live Pitch has been annually running since 2013.
