The sequel to ChromaGun has been announced at IGN Live 2024. It's called ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard. The game from DCP award-winning Nuremberg indie studio Pixel Maniacs is scheduled for release in 2025.

The direct sequel to the original ChromaGun, released in 2016, will expand both the gameplay (shoot paint, mix colours, and solve puzzles) and the story, while keeping the vision of the original in mind. The game was revealed at the PM Studios Showcase at IGN Live 2024. ChromaGun 2 is published by PM Studios from the USA. Its predecessor was self-distributed by Pixel Maniacs.
