GOG Dreamlist Started to Bring Back Games With Greater Vigour
Online distribution platform GOG has launched the Dreamlist, a public tool to persuade publishers to re-release games that are no longer accessible. Also: Dino Crisis and Dino Crisis 2 have been re-released.
CD Projekt's GOG.com has launched Dreamlist, a community-based tool that allows people to vote for games they would like to see revived and re-released on GOG. These votes will carry weight in discussions with IP owners to bring these games back to life. "It wasn't just a list - more often than not, it was the fuel for our actions. When talks with IP owners hit a wall, the Wishlist kept the conversation going. (...) Each vote is a spark that inspires publishers to act," they said. The most requested game not yet available on GOG is Black & White with almost 54,000 votes, followed by Black & White 2, Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection, Freelancer, No One Lives Forever and Diablo II. Note: Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection is available in retail stores and on Steam, but not on GOG.com. Diablo II is available on Battle.net.
