Microsoft to Sell Games Directly Through Xbox App on Android in the US
The first result of the Epic v Google ruling. From the beginning of November 2024, Microsoft will sell games directly through the Xbox Store on Android. Some of these games will also be playable on mobile devices via Cloud Gaming.

In direct response to the Epic v Google ruling, in which a US court ordered Google to open up Android to third-party stores (as we reported), Microsoft has announced that it will sell games directly in the Xbox mobile app. However, the plan initially appears to be limited to the US.
