game Certifies 3 Platinum and 1 Gold Sales Award in March

Even though specific monthly sales figures are not published, the latest game Sales Awards show that March was a strong sales month. The game association recorded a total of four Sales Awards for March—all of them for titles released in 2025.

Three of the four were Platinum Awards, granted for selling over 200,000 units within 12 months of release. These went to Assassin’s Creed Shadows by Ubisoft, which launched in March; Kingdom Come: Deliverance II by Plaion; and Monster Hunter Wilds by Capcom, which debuted in February and had already received a Gold Award that same month for surpassing 100,000 units sold. The fourth award, a Gold Award, went to Split Fiction by EA.

The awards reflect the chart data from February and March. In February, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II and Monster Hunter Wilds topped the sales charts, while March saw Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Split Fiction at the top.

All four titles now have 11 or 10 months remaining to reach the next award tier. In addition to Gold (100,000 units sold) and Platinum (200,000 units sold), the next levels are Double Platinum (400,000 units) and Multi-Platinum (600,000 units). The sales figures include both digital and physical copies and are aggregated across platforms. However, games must be officially released in Germany and registered by the publisher to be eligible for a Sales Award. Additional criteria apply—for example, games must carry a USK rating to qualify.
