Galaxus Sets the First Stone of Its New Logistics Centre

The first warehouse is scheduled for completion in summer 2025. The online retailer Galaxus also wants to start recruiting for the new logistics centre, which will employ up to 1,000 people, at that time.

It is the largest commercial development in Neuenburg am Rhein since the 1960s, according to the mayor of the small town in Baden-Württemberg. But the construction of the second logistics centre in Germany is also a big step for the Swiss online retailer Galaxus. Ultimately, with around 90,000 square metres of storage space and up to 1,000 employees, it is set to be of a similar size to the company's largest logistics centre to date in its domestic market of Switzerland, where Galaxus is even ahead of Amazon in terms of market share.
