Valorant, racing and Dota 2 will kick off the first disciplines at the Esports World Cup 2025 on 8 July. The event will take place in Riyadh over the next six weeks. Over 2,000 athletes from 200 teams representing more than 100 countries will compete in 25 tournaments for a total prize pool of over $70 million.

Sponsors and partners are an important pillar for the event, as the organisers from the Esports World Cup Foundation have repeatedly announced in recent days. 

The latest additions include Honor and Lenovo, which join the group of international brand manufacturers such as PepsiCo that support the EWC. However, as in the previous year, numerous Saudi companies are also involved. A renewed partnership with Albaik has also been announced. The EWCF had already renewed a similar agreement with the stc group in mid-June. 

But in addition to partnerships, the EWCF has announced further features shortly before the start. This year, there will also be a fantasy game and a pick-em-up game for spectators. Both competitions offer prize money of $100,000.
 
Last but not least, the EWCF has announced the Heroes Club. This is a 12-month VIP programme for all winners of the EWC 2025, which will bring them together with various industry personalities and celebrities, and also includes VIP invitations to sports and entertainment events such as the Super Bowl, Formula 1 races and the UEFA Champions League final.
