Nvidia GeForce Now: RTX 5080-Class GPUs and 5G+ Partnership With Deutsche Telekom
Nvidia has announced a partnership with Deutsche Telekom for GeForce Now, focusing on 5G+ gaming in Germany, and revealed that RTX 5080-class GPUs will soon be available on the cloud gaming service.
Deutsche Telekom has unveiled plans for a new 5G+ gaming offering in collaboration with Nvidia's GeForce Now, set to launch in autumn 2025. This collaboration will make cloud gaming with fast response times available directly on smartphones. This will be made possible by Nvidia's GeForce Now cloud gaming service, network optimisation with L4S and network slicing. At the core of the collaboration lies the seamless integration of GeForce Now, with Germany’s largest 5G+ network. Deutsche Telekom is Europe’s first network operator to enable latency-optimized mobile gaming with GeForce Now based on 5G standalone technology.
"GeForce Now delivers great gaming experiences with low latency and high-fidelity visuals. With Telekom's new 5G+ gaming offering, we’re taking mobile cloud gaming to the next level - enabling millions of players to enjoy premium games on their smartphones, with less jitter and gameplay that feels closer than ever to a local gaming console," says Phil Eisler, Vice President of GeForce Now at Nvidia.
"Cloud gaming needs fast reactions and zero interruptions - every millisecond counts and can mean the difference between victory and defeat," says Wolfgang Metze, Head of Consumer Business at Telekom Deutschland. "With 5G+ Gaming in Germany’s largest 5G+ network, players can enjoy high-performance, seamless gameplay on the go via the GeForce Now platform - featuring a top-tier selection of over 2,300 supported titles. No downloads, no lag. Together with Nvidia, we're delivering the best gaming experience on the best network - anytime, anywhere."
And the Nvidia Blackwell RTX architecture is coming to GeForce NOW in September, marking the service’s biggest upgrade yet - without raising membership prices. All Premium members will get access to a new feature called Install-to-Play, which expands the GeForce NOW cloud game catalog to nearly 4,500 titles.
Nvidia: "GeForce RTX 5080-class GPUs bring a staggering 62 teraflops of compute performance, a 48GB frame buffer, more than 3x the performance of current consoles and 2.8x faster frame rates than previous-generation servers. Advanced ray tracing, richer textures and AI-enhanced rendering with AMD “Zen 5” CPUs and Nvidia ConnectX-7 networking deliver an experience that’s more responsive than ever."
Last but not least, Nvidia will also be launching GeForce Now in India this November. It follows Thailand as the latest region to gain access to GeForce Now through GFNA partner Brothers Picture.
