June's Journey, the world's top-grossing hidden object game, is set to launch a time-limited mystery adventure inspired by Universal Pictures' Wicked. This is Wooga's first crossover between entertainment mediums.

This winter, Playtika's Berlin-based studio Wooga will launch a Wicked-inspired in-game collaboration to coincide with the release of Universal Pictures' Wicked: For Good, which will be in cinemas from 21 November 2025. Taking place from 1 November 2025 until 31 January 2026, this time-limited Wicked mystery adventure will invite players to step into the Land of Oz while playing June's Journey. This is the first time Wooga has implemented crossovers between entertainment mediums in June's Journey. The aim of this activation is to expand the game's universe and reach new audiences.

Dennis Korf, Managing Director at Wooga, says: "Storytelling has always been at the heart of June’s Journey, which is why this collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences and the world of Wicked feels like such a natural fit. June Parker is already known for uncovering mysteries through rich, character-driven narratives—and now players will experience that storytelling magic in the land of Oz. By blending two beloved worlds, we're giving our players a chance to step into a spectacular cinematic universe while deepening the narrative possibilities within our game."

Players will follow a unique narrative in which the protagonist, June Parker, enters the world of Wicked and uncovers secrets along the way. The collaboration features six scenes inspired by locations from Wicked, including Emerald City, Munchkinland, and Shiz University. Wooga: "The Wicked event storyline will be delivered through June's Journey's most popular event format, Memoirs, a player-favourite feature where participants collect packs containing snippets of June’s memories to complete albums and relive moments from June's past. The event will also feature the iconic Wicked song 'Defying Gravity,' giving players an immersive audio-visual experience as they explore Oz."

According to Sensor Tower, June's Journey has been the global number one in the Hidden Object (Puzzle) subgenre on the Apple App Store and Google Play since April 2019, measured by consumer spend.
