Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is an ambitious publishing project for Daedalic Entertainment, representing a significant strategic milestone for the company. In an interview with GamesMarkt, Jonas Hüsges (Daedalic's COO) revealed that it is the largest project in the company's publishing history to date.

Jonas Hüsges, COO of Daedalic Entertainment, explains: "With the successful launch of Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown, we have started our 20th year since the founding of Daedalic Entertainment with a lot of momentum. The title is one of the largest publishing projects in our company's history, our first release for the Nintendo Switch 2 and a strong signal for the future direction of our publishing business. 2026 will be our strongest release year yet – we are looking forward to it with great confidence."

The highest number of concurrent players (CCU) for Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown on Steam was 6,773. Only one other game in the company's extensive catalogue had a higher CCU at its release: Barotrauma with 15,269 players. The other CCU peaks seen by Unrailed, Barotrauma and Deponia: The Complete Journey occurred during free weekends or key giveaways.

Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown is the publisher's first title for the Nintendo Switch 2 and has been released on PC and consoles. This successful market launch highlights the continued development of the Hamburg-based company as an internationally operating publisher focusing on high-quality brands, long-term partnerships and scalable productions. For Daedalic, the game is a clear reference point for the further development of its publishing business, as well as signalling the increasing importance of larger projects in its portfolio.

Daedalic Entertainment was founded in 2007. Its game portfolio covers a wide range of genres, with a focus on storytelling, strategy, cooperative games and wholesome games. Current successes include Star Trek: Voyager - Across the Unknown, New Cycle, Barotrauma, Unrailed!, Bloodgrounds, Yield! Fall of Rome, Deponia, Shadow Tactics, Inkulinati, Hidden Deep, Fling to the Finish!, Wild Woods and more. Daedalic's international team of around 45 people is currently collaborating with several development studios on projects including Bloodgrounds (Exordium Games), The Occultist (Daloar), Woodo (Tiny Monks Tales), the Barotrauma Home & Harbour expansion (FakeFish and Undertow Games), and Surviving Deponia (Daedalic Entertainment and Atomic Torch Studio). Since April 2022, Daedalic Entertainment has been a subsidiary of the French publishing house Nacon.
