Many GSA Studios Taking Part in Steam Next Fest

Numerous developers and publishers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland are taking part in the Steam Next Fest in February 2025. Some of the games are among these top ten most successful demos.

The latest Next Fest, which showcases upcoming games, launched yesterday evening on Steam. There are over two thousand playable demos as well as developer livestreams and chats. The event will run until 3 March 2025.

Many developers, studios and publishers from the GSA present their games on the distribution platform - with great success, as the peak number of concurrently active players (CCU) via SteamDB shows. RoadCraft, physically distributed by astragon in GSA, is the third most successful demo to date with 12,559 players. This is followed by THQ Nordic with Gothic 1 Remake - Demo (Nyras Prologue) with 10,222 concurrent players. This is a standalone prologue seen through the eyes of Nyras on his first day in the colony. The demo of the clicker game Bongo Cat by Marcel Zurawka, CEO and co-founder of BlueBottle and Irox Games, reached 3,886 CCU. The survival building game Solarpunk by Cyberwave and rokaplay was played by a peak of 3,728 people. Speaking of rokaplay, the upcoming Sugardew Island - Your Cozy Farm Shop is also taking part in the Steam Next Fest.

Pixel Maniacs (Nuremberg) and PM Studios also have a demo of ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard. Daedalic Entertainment has a demo of Once Upon A Puppet from Flatter Than Earth, while Frogsong Studios, Metaroot and Stray Fawn Publishing are once again showing a demo of River Towns. moi rai games from Hamburg and offbrand games are demoing Aethermancer. Instinct3 participates in Next Fest as co-publisher of Sad Socket's 9 Kings and Soulpotion's Asgard's Fall - Viking Survivors. The influencer marketing agency is working with Assemble Entertainment on the latter. Assemble Entertainment is also promoting Flesh Made Fear by Tainted Pact, Urban Jungle Demo by Kylyk Games and Klaus Lee - Thunderballs by Nukklear. FusionPlay (Leipzig) and Team17 have a playable demo of Nice Day for Fishing. StunForge (Wadersloh) and HypeTrain Digital are hoping to inspire with Nordhold, their blend of turn-based development strategy, tower defence and roguelite elements. Last but not least, Kasedo Games, a subsidiary of Kalypso, is having a demo of Rise of Industry 2, developed by SomaSim. There are also playable demos of Duck Detective: The Ghost of Glamping from Happy Broccoli Games and Grimoire Groves from Stardust.
