The Polaris Convention 2024 has reached almost 50 per cent more visitors than last year. The fair now even expanded into the Xperion Germany. The new app has been downloaded more than 25,000 times as well.

For the third time, the Polaris Convention has now taken place in Hamburg. And it continually grew over the three years, bringing in a record this year as well: With 40,000 visitors, the growth from last year’s 27,000 people is an impressive 48,15 per cent. The new app that led people through the areas in gamified contests and also featured activities for the people at home has been downloaded over 25,000 times.

The fair featured cosplay, famous content creators, gaming exhibitors and even an outpost at Xperion Hamburg. The concept of the fair also combines the topic gaming with anime, manga and Japanese culture.

One of the exhibitors, Nina Straube, Project Manager at NDR, looks back on Polaris: "Our first visit to Polaris was great. I am delighted that we were able to make a contribution to the Content Creation World with the TikTok channel ‘Chai Society’ (N-JOY/BremenNext) and the tagesschau social media team. The dialogue with the visitors was very valuable for us. I was particularly impressed by the outstanding creativity of the costumes and the cordial interaction."

The next edition of Polaris will once again take place at Messe Hamburg from 10 to 12 October 2025. Advance ticket sales will start during Christmas time. The registration for exhibitors however is already online now. Polaris is organised by Hamburg Messe und Congress and Super Crowd GmbH.
