The DevGAMM conference will take place for the third time in Gdansk at the end of February under the motto "Future of Game Development". Once again, the Digital Vikings Awards will be of particular interest to German studios.
The international game development conference DevGAMM is gearing up for its third edition in Gdansk (Poland) at AmberExpo on 27 to 28 February 2025. The first speakers for the conference, packed with sessions, panels, workshops and more, are Abby LeMaster (Senior Lead Producer, R&D, Riot Games), Stanislav Mishchenko (Senior Producer, 11 bit studios), Monika Chmura (Lead Combat Designer, Bloober Team), Łukasz Łukasik (Tools Director, Techland), Maezza Brathwaite-Romero (Community Developer & Communications Manager, Romero Games) and Vladimir Gaidenko (Associate Lead Scripter, Larian Studios).
Over the two days, the programme will include a variety of talks and workshops where visitors can gain practical experience in areas such as game design and storytelling, project management, technology and development, audio and sound, marketing, art and visuals. There will also be a Game Showcase, a public pitch in front of publishers and a live audience, and the Game Roast, a comedy roast just for game developers. Another highlight is the Digital Vikings Awards for game developers from the Baltic region. Companies from Germany can also take part. Submissions are accepted from studios registered in the following countries: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland and Sweden. Game submissions for all activities, including the Digital Vikings Awards and the Game Showcase, are only open until 24 January.
