Applications can now be submitted again for Hessen Serious Game, the funding program of German Federal state Hesse. The deadline for submissions is 18 May 18 2026.

The funding agent, Hesse Economic and Infrastructure Bank (Wirtschafts- und Infrastrukturbank Hessen; WIBank) is offering two information appointments through Microsoft Teams at the following dates:

  • Session 1: Wednesday, April 29, 2026, 4:00–5:00 p.m.
  • Session 2: Thursday, May 7, 4:00–5:00 p.m.

The funding can be used for the following aspects, according to WIBank:

  • Funding for market-viable concepts for the production or further development of video games
  • Funding for at least one playable level or module of a video game
  • Funding for the further development of video games in the early, unfinished stages of development (alpha and beta versions, and similar) to market readiness
