With an event stage and a streaming booth, Home of Indies is upping its game in the highly-contested attention economy of gamescom's Indie Area. Apart from international indie studios, German publishers Assemble Entertainment and Daedalic have made it their consumer area home.
Home of Indies by Factory-C, one of the big indie showcase areas at gamescom’s Hall 10.2 Indie Area, has announced their lineup for this year’s conference. Over 50 titles will be part of the area. Also, this year the Home of Indies will not only feature a streamer booth, but a live stage with program from the German content creator space.
Among the German participants are:
- Daedalic with Bloodgrounds
- Assemble Entertainment with several titles, including Flesh Made Fear, Decktamer, Asgard’s Fall and Paddle Paddle Paddle by ZoroArts aka Mateo Covic
- Brainlag Games, a new studio founded by former Piranha Bytes developers, with their debut title Rootbound
- Randwerk Games with Wanderburg
- Selkies Interactive with Echoes of Mora
- Senatis and Reakktor Media with G-Rebels
- Polynormal with Frame of Mind – A Game of Thoughts
- CobraTekku with several titles including Verho – Curse of Faces and The Edge of Allegoria
- Also taking part: Quantumfrog, Yaya Studios, Bold Head Interactive, StickyStome, Firechick, Fade Realms, Redox, Irox Games, Umaiki Games, Mysteria Studio, Kainga Games, Sword & Quill Games, Aldamami Games, and IT&W Games

- Jofsoft Corp. (Pizza Bandit) from Korea
- Tale Era Interactive (Holy Shoot) from Turkey
- Savy Soda (Pixel Starship 2) from Australia
- Room6 and Gamera Games from Japan, each showcasing multiple games across genres
- Forge Studios (Gauntlet Force) and Fade Realms (Lana – Queen of Ancient Egypt) from Italy
- Outerlynx from Albania with Medieval Castle Simulator and One Less Choice
- Piece of Cake Studios with Dark Hours and Attaboy Interactive with their debut Project Entropia from France

- Shueisha Games (Japan) bringing several games: Opus: Prism Peak, Bakudo, Anthem#9, Atmosfar, Unyielder, and No Straight Roads 2

From Wednesday to Sunday, streamers will also play games live from the Home of Indies stand at a dedicated Streaming Booth. Furthermore, a new Spotlight Stage will feature talks and event at the Home of Indies, among them psychology experts Behind the Screens as hosts of talks on gaming-related topics, developer interviews, and open discussions. On Saturday, Home of Indies will host a safe space for a Diversity Meetup. From 2 to 4 PM, registered creators will gather in a private area to discuss diversity in games. The event will be attended by Denise Bieber, founder of organizer Content Affairs.
