Hooded Horse Signed Limbic Entertainment's Corsair Cove
Specialist strategy and tactics publisher Hooded Horse has partnered with German studio Limbic Entertainment on their latest project: The game is the pirate-themed city-builder titled Corsair Cove.
During the Find Your Next Game Caggtus Showcase, Hooded Horse and Limbic Entertainment announced Corsair Cove. In this city-building game, players will build a "sprawling pirate haven", raise a fleet to explore the high seas and take on the Crown in order to keep the Age of Piracy alive. This city-building game sees players managing production chains and governing a rowdy crew, overcoming the challenges of limited building space by building tall. They use cliffs and hilltops to build factories that manufacture everything from spyglasses to cannons to meet the needs of their population. However, this will not be a peaceful pirate paradise - players will also need to equip ships of war to take to the high seas, fight back against pirate hunters, resist agents of the Crown and uncover the dangers lurking in uncharted waters.
"Limbic Entertainment is a great studio with a long history of creating fun and innovative city-building games," says Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. "We're honored to serve as publisher for their next title."
"As a studio deeply focused on strategy and city-building experiences, partnering with Hooded Horse was the obvious choice," says Limbic Entertainment CEO Lionel Lovisa. "They have become a leading force in this space, driven by a strong commitment to quality and to the players who define the genre. We share that same ambition and passion, which makes this collaboration both natural and truly exciting for us."
Corsiar Cove will be localized from English into German, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, and Japanese. It will be available on PC via the Steam, Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. The game will also be released via PC Game Pass on day one. A release date has not been announced.
