The two Majesty games still have many fans, including those at Rockbee Team. They are reviving the distinctive gameplay formula featuring indirect control in Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim.

Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim is a modern spiritual successor to the two Majesty games (released in 2000 and 2009), and therefore shares the same indirect control gameplay mechanic found in games such as The Settlers and Pioneers of Pagonia. As in a classic real-time strategy game, players build a medieval fantasy kingdom, ensuring that relevant buildings are constructed and resources are generated. Using these resources, players can hire heroes and send them on missions such as exploration and combat to defeat monsters and secure resources. Players must also defend their kingdom against enemies.
The heroes act independently based on their respective types and skills, making for a dynamic gaming experience - the heroes only respond to financial incentives, after all. Battles take place in real time without direct control of the units, but players can use spells to assist the heroes. Additionally, groups of heroes can be formed. Heroes can be improved through paid training or equipment. The game features production buildings such as a forge and a spell shop where weapons, armour and potions are crafted. Heroes can then purchase this equipment to boost their combat capabilities and survivability. However, in terms of complexity and dynamics, the game cannot quite match Majesty.

Lessaria offers a story campaign and a survival mode. There is no multiplayer mode. In the campaign, the level of difficulty increases as players progress through new enemies and tasks. Meanwhile, the kingdom has limited expansion space, so gold management is essential. The campaign is primarily a way to learn the game step by step. Survival mode, on the other hand, is more challenging and puts players under greater pressure. There is currently no sandbox mode. Speaking of Majesty: George Ledoux, the voice actor who previously voiced Majesty's advisor, can now be heard in Lessaria.
The Rockbee Team, the developers of Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim, are based in Krasnodar, Russia. The game is published by the independent game publisher Polden Publishing, which is based in Cyprus. Rockbee is active in the community, takes player feedback seriously and is continuously working on improvements to the game. These include optimisations to hero behaviour, which are essential for indirect control of the heroes. Work is also being done on balance, quality of life and translation, in addition to ongoing bug fixing. The developers have also explained that the game needs to offer more to players who want to play for several hours. On Steam, it says: "Players need a mode (or modes) where they can spend hours. Missions, sandbox, etc. We're thinking about it and trying to figure out what can be done quickly. We’re also discussing what to do with the enemy waves. Opinions in the community are split - so most likely we'll let you customize that yourself. In general, we want to give you more options to tweak the game the way you like."

The game is in decent shape, but it feels like Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim would have benefited from an Early Access launch. It was released digitally for PC on 20 October 2025 for €24.99. Within a week and a half, the game had sold 35,700 copies and generated over $500,000 in revenue. The developers spent less than $200,000 on production.
Lessaria: Fantasy Kingdom Sim revives the Majesty formula, offering a robust yet expandable - albeit somewhat unfinished - RTS experience with indirect hero control.
