Der US-amerikanische Einzelhandelskonzern Wal-Mart hat im dritten Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres sowohl beim Umsatz als auch beim Gewinn zugelegt.

Der Einzelhandelskonzern Wal-Mart Stores Inc. hat seine Zahlen für das am 31. Oktober beendete dritte Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres vorgelegt. Innerhalb des Berichtszeitraumes erhöhte sich der Umsatz flächenbereinigt um 6,7 Prozent, gleichzeitig fuhr der Konzern einen operativen Gewinn von 2,35 Mrd. US-Dollar ein. Auf Neunmonatsbasis gesehen setzte Wal-Mart 5,4 Prozent mehr um als im Vergleichsraum des Vorjahres und steigerte seinen operativen Gewinn auf rund 7,19 Mrd. US-Dollar.
