German duo Kalypso Media and Claymore Game Studios will release Commandos: Origins in 2024. The BMWK-funded real-time tactics game continues the popular series and aims to stay true to its roots.

Commandos returns in 2024. Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Claymore Game Studios will release Commandos: Origins next year. It will be the first new Commandos title since 2003, counting only the real-time tactical titles and excluding the action spin-off Commandos: Strike Force. Kalypso Media secured the trademark rights to the series in July 2018, and has since released two HD remasters of Commandos 2 and Commandos 3 for PC and consoles.

The new game will be called Commandos: Origins. It will be included in the Xbox Game Pass for console and PC from day one and will also be released for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The development team behind the project is Claymore Game Studios of Darmstadt, Germany, which received €1,532,519 in funding from the German Federal Government's Computer and Video Games Fund. The funding period ran until the end of June 2023.
