game Board Election: Janssen Remains Chairman, Pfiffer Deputy Chairwomen
The General Assembly of the german games industry association game also elected the game's Board of Directors. The Board remains unchanged, with one exception.
Continuity is important for the work of the association. It is therefore a positive signal that the member companies of Game - The German Games Industry Association (game - Verband der deutschen Games-Branche) have largely confirmed the Board in its offices at the General Assembly. The most important tasks in the committee have also remained the same. Lars Janssen, who moved from Plaion to Deck13 last year, continues as chairman. Julia Pfiffer, co-managing director of Team17 subsidiary Astragon, remains deputy chair. Johanna Janiszewski (Tiny Crocodile Studios) and Ralf Wirsing (Ubisoft) were also re-elected to the board. Clemens Mayer-Wegelin (Nintendo) is a new member, while Christian Kluckner (Chimera Entertainment) has left the board. It is not known if Kluckner even stood for election.
"I would like to thank the Game Board members for re-electing me. We have achieved a lot as a game over the past few years, but there is still a lot to be done, for example in terms of promoting the game. In these challenging times, the high level of continuity in the Game Board is an important signal of the unity of our industry and helps to continue the successful work of recent years," says Lars Janssen.
And Julia Pfiffer adds: "I would like to thank all the members for my re-election. I would also like to thank our outgoing board member Chris Kluckner, who has worked hard over the past two years on many important issues such as game funding. We on the Board will continue to tackle the challenges facing the industry with the same vigour."
