Ubisoft has announced the release date for Anno 117: Pax Romana as part of the Summer Game Fest. The launch date for Morbid Metal has also been confirmed. Both games are being developed in Germany.

Since the French publisher did not host its own Ubisoft Forward showcase as part of the event series this year, Ubisoft showcased three games at the PC Gaming Show 2025. The release date for Anno 117: Pax Romana was announced. The city-building strategy game, developed by Ubisoft Mainz, is set to release on 13 November 2025, for PC (Ubisoft Connect, Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft+), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

The game will be available in Standard and Gold editions, priced at €59.99 and €89.99, respectively. The Gold Edition includes the Year 1 Pass, which contains three DLC packs. The teaser image hints at a volcanic eruption, a chariot, and Egypt (maybe as a new region/session). There is also a Governor's Edition, available exclusively from participating retailers in limited quantities. This edition includes the Gold Edition, a 3D amphitheater puzzle measuring 36 x 31 x 13 cm, an 84-page art book, a 7 cm Forged Anno symbol, three 30 x 15 cm lithographs, Albion & Latium coins, and other items.

Ubisoft: "In the game, the Emperor has appointed you as governor, tasked with developing provinces in the Roman-based Latium and Celtic-inspired Albion. You'll be able to choose which region you start with and  work to build a small settlement into a civilization that spans both regions. You'll be able to build and design your settlements in greater scale, detail, and flexibility than ever before in the franchise, with all the architectural marvels associated with the height of the Roman Empire. This means big additions like a colosseum and aqueducts, as well as smaller scale detail, such as children playing with dogs."

In addition to Anno 117: Pax Romana, the publisher also showcased The Rogue Prince of Persia, which is currently in Early Access, and Morbid Metal. The latter, developed by Screen Juice from Cologne and published by Ubisoft, is scheduled to launch in Early Access on 20 August 2025. A demo is available for download as part of Steam Next Fest.

Screen Juice and Ubisoft: "Morbid Metal is a fast-paced, third-person character action roguelike set in a corrupted virtual world built to preserve humanity after climate collapse. You play as Flux, an AI capable of shapeshifting into unique fighters mid-combat. Your goal: survive deadly arenas, adapt across runs, and break free from the decaying Simulation."
