In February 2026, game - the German Games Industry Association honoured one video game with a Sales Award in recognition of its strong sales in Germany. Unsurprisingly, the Gold Award for sales of over 100,000 went to Resident Evil Requiem, which was released on 27 February and had therefore only been on the market for two days by the end of the month. Having now sold over six million copies worldwide, it is likely that the game will receive its next Sales Award soon.

No further awards were presented in February 2026. Other titles released in February included Reanimal from THQ Nordic, Nioh 3 from Koei Tecmo, Dragon Quest VII Reimagined from Square Enix and Mario Tennis Fever from Nintendo. These titles could well receive a games sales award in the coming months.

Last year, the association handed out three awards: one to Nintendo for Super Mario Party Jamboree (multi-platinum, with sales of over 600,000), one to Deep Silver for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II (gold, with sales of over 100,000), and one to Capcom for Monster Hunter Wilds (gold, with sales of over 100,000).
