Auf dem offiziellen PlayStation-Twitter-Account wurde heute bekanntgegeben, dass der langjährige PlayStation-Chef Shawn Layden seine Funktionen niederlegt.

Der PlayStation-Chef Shawn Layden verlässt Sony Interactive Entertainment, so der offizielle PlayStation Twitter-Account. Warum er aus dem Unternehmen scheidet wurde jedoch noch nicht bekannt gegeben und auch ein Nachfolger steht noch nicht fest.

Seit 1987 hat Layden verschiedenste Rollen bei Sony eingenommen, wie etwa als Vice President von Sony Computer Entertainment Europe oder als President von Sony Computer Entertainment Japan. Bevor 2018 alle Regionen unter dem Namen SIE World Wide Studios kombiniert wurden war Layden CEO bei Sony Computer Entertainment America.
