UK-based indie studio, Kinetic Games, has announced that Phasmophobia has surpassed 20 million units sold worldwide.

Originally the brainchild of solo developer Daniel Knight, Phasmophobia entered Early Access on Steam in September 2020 and quickly became a worldwide phenomenon. On 29 October 2024, the studio then launched Phasmophobia in Early Access on consoles (PlayStation 5, PS VR2, Xbox Series X|S), where it has already sold 250,000 copies. In this psychological horror game, players hunt for ghosts either alone or in cooperative mode.

"We are absolutely thrilled that Phasmophobia has reached this incredible milestone of over 20 million copies sold," said Daniel Knight, Managing Director and Lead Developer. "The journey has been nothing short of amazing and we have our dedicated community to thank for continuing to share their passion for the game. We look forward to continuing to expand the Phasmophobia experience and are excited to see what the future holds."
