UK: Government Announces Social Media Ban For Under-16s; UKIE Responds With Relief

Keir Starmer’s UK government has announced plans to introduce a social media ban for under-16s. The first restrictions are set to be introduced as early as spring 2027. Video games are excluded from the regulations. UKIE reacted with relief, but nevertheless points to the stricter PEGI rules.
