Der angeschlagene niederländische Internethändler vermeldet fürs dritte Quartal 2001 einen starken Umsatzeinbruch. Der Nettoverlust konnte jedoch reduziert werden.

LetsBuyIt.com erzielte im dritten Quartal 2001 einen Umsatz von 335.000 Euro. Im Vorjahresquartal setzte der E-Tailer noch 9,261 Mio. Euro um. Der Nettobetriebsverlust in den Monaten Juli bis September ging jedoch im Vergleich zum Vorjahreszeitraum von 26 Mio. Euro auf 14 Mio. Euro zurück. Eigenen Angaben zufolge konnte das angeschlagene Unternehmen nach einem Moratorium Anfang des Jahres die Geschäftstätigkeit nur eingeschränkt weiterführen. Im Zuge von Restrukturierungsmaßnahmen werde Letsbuyit.com in Kürze weitere 58 Mitarbeiter entlassen.
