Volker Barth, Chief Operating Officer von Wal-Mart Germany, verlässt das Unternehmen auf eigenen Wunsch. Dies gab heute der Präsident und Vorsitzende der Geschäftsführung, Dr. Kay Hafner, bekannt. Barth war im Mai 2000 zum COO der Warenhauskette mit Sitz in Wuppertal berufen worden und verantwortete das gesamte operative Geschäft von Wal-Mart Germany. Über das genaue Austrittsdatum und einen Nachfolger Barths ist bislang nichts bekannt.
