NightinGames Supports Aesir Interactive in the Development of new Windstorm

The production of Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori is also a great opportunity for indie developer NightinGames from Bayreuth. They are working with Aesir Interactive on the production and are involved in production, game design, tech and art.

Just a few days ago, publisher Mindscape and developer Aesir Interactive announced the production of Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori. Windstorm is known in Germany as 'Ostwind', a franchise that has produced several books, films, magazines and games. With the unveiling of the project, NightinGames from Bayreuth can now reveal their involvement in the project.

NightinGames is a team of eight who are also working on the completion of their title The Cow Game and a demo for The Sound of Lightning. However, the majority of the team is now involved in the new Windstorm project.

"For us as a small indie studio, this is a great opportunity because we can learn a lot from the experienced team that Aesir provides. In particular, the opportunity to work with and adapt the structures, organisation and workflows of a larger studio provides us with important improvements and insights into our own approach," Antonia Schmidt tells GamesMarkt. Schmidt is CEO and co-founder of NightinGames and works as an assistant producer on Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori.

NightinGames is already very excited about Early Access and is looking forward to showing the community more of its work soon. According to Schmidt, the NightinGames team members are involved in production, game design, engineering and art. Early access is scheduled to begin in September. Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori was funded by the BMWK with almost 1.5 million euros.
