Similar in structure to the Barcelona-based parent studio, Abylight Buenos Aires is launching under the coordination of Débora Sofía Theaux Leutgeb - a developer, educator, and regional organiser for the Global Game Jam in Argentina.

Eva Gaspar, CEO of Abylight Studios, stated: "This is a project we have had in mind for a long time, but it could only materialize once we found the right team. We now have a young, professional studio that allows us to explore new avenues of development in LATAM." Abylight Buenos Aires is set to launch its first projects across multiple platforms in spring 2026.

Abylight Studios is one of the longest-standing games companies in the Spanish industry. This independent publisher and developer is behind games such as Citadelum, One Military Camp, and the Nintendo Switch versions of Hyper Light Drifter Special Edition and SOMA. On 5 March, Abylight will launch Citadelum for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Other releases planned for 2026 include the beat 'em up Underling Uprising, Amnesia: Rebirth for Nintendo Switch 2 and other titles to be announced.
