Incredibuild, known for its software acceleration solutions, has acquired Garden, a DevOps startup specializing in open-source tools to optimize CI pipelines. The acquisition aims to streamline the software development process by integrating Garden’s technology to reduce bottlenecks from code commit to deployment.

Garden’s innovative approach accelerates Continuous Integration (CI) workflows by intelligently caching and allocating resources, enabling developers to avoid redundant tasks and speed up feedback cycles. The platform’s graph-aware engine rebuilds and redeploys only the code that has been modified, significantly reducing wait times in the CI/CD pipeline. By combining Garden’s capabilities with Incredibuild’s existing distributed acceleration technology, the company aims to empower software teams to focus on product innovation rather than slow toolchains and lengthy processes. This acquisition aligns with Incredibuild’s vision to support every stage of the development lifecycle, from initial coding to end-user deployment.

Incredibuild plans to continue enhancing its platform and integrate Garden’s tools to create a comprehensive acceleration solution for development teams, promising increased productivity and faster delivery of updates to customers.

"The acquisition of Garden advances our goal of taking the pain out of long development cycles," said Tami Mazel Shachar, CEO of Incredibuild. "Customers have long complained that CI pipelines are slow, complicated, and hard to manage, so we are excited to now accelerate the entire CI process. Garden’s expertise streamlining CI pipelines and environments aligns perfectly with our mission: Accelerating every aspect of software development."

"What excites me most is our shared passion for making devs faster, and how together, we provide a complete suite of tools to help developers worldwide," said Jon Edvald, CEO of Garden. "Incredibuild’s acceleration technology, combined with our unique approach to CI and DevOps, means we’re embarking on a relentless mission to accelerate pipelines in every way, including changing developers’ interactions with automation across the development cycle. We have two extremely powerful products, and united, the whole is even greater than the sum of its parts."

Garden was founded 2018 and is located in Berlin. In 2022, Garden successfully closed a Series A investment round and raised $16 million, which, at current exchange rates, is €14.65 million.
