With My.games, Flexion has gained another well-known customer. Flexion specialises in publishing mobile games in alternative markets, thereby tapping into new users and new sources of revenue.
In the fourth quarter, War Robots, the first mobile game from My.Games, is to be published on alternative marketplaces with the help of Flexion. Specifically, a release is planned for the Samsung Galaxy Store, the One Store, and the Xiaomi and Huawei App Gallery.
"War Robots is one of the top mobile games in our portfolio, and this year marks its 10th anniversary since launch," says Boris Burangulov, the game’s Executive Producer. “The game grows bigger every year, discovering new audiences; it's important for us to explore new platforms and resources to reach even more players. Flexion impressed us with how easy they make it to publish in alternative markets, allowing us to concentrate our resources on developing the game."
According to the company, War Robots already has over 270 million registered players and has generated over $900 million in revenue since its launch. By marketing the game in other app stores in addition to the market-leading stores from Apple and Google, My.games is hoping to generate new sales momentum.
"Our expertise in a range of channels offers developers massively reduced upfront costs and human resources compared with what they would need to invest to adapt to the evolving games market on their own. It gives me great pleasure to welcome My.games on board and I’m sure this will be the start of a very productive partnership", said Jens Lauritzson, CEO of Flexion. In fact, Flexion has been able to acquire numerous new and, above all, well-known customers in recent months, including King, Scopely and Kabam.
