At this year's IGN Fan Fest, astragon Entertainment and developer Simteract presented a new entry in the Bus Simulator series. Bus Simulator 27 features the largest bus fleet in the series' history (45 buses from 13 manufacturers), and includes partnerships with Solaris Bus & Coach (new), Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Iveco Bus, Scania and Volvo.

Bus Simulator 27 offers Story, Career and Sandbox modes, which can be played solo or with friends in a four-player cooperative online multiplayer mode. The game is set in Felicia Bay, a sunny fictional region inspired by the Iberian Peninsula. Players must restore faith in public transport by establishing their own bus company and using management tools such as creating routes and detailed timetables, hiring bus drivers and managing the bus fleet. As well as classic rigid and articulated buses, double-deckers and electric buses, Bus Simulator 27 will offer players the chance to drive coach buses for the first time ever in the series on long-distance journeys.

Bus Simulator 27 will be released for Steam, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, as well as PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2026.

It is the first game in astragon's Bus Simulator franchise to be developed by Simteract in Poland. Previous instalments in the Bus Simulator series, including Bus Simulator: City Ride, Bus Simulator 21: Next Stop, Bus Simulator 18, and Bus Simulator 16, were developed by the Austrian studio stillalive. However, the studio remains loyal to the genre and is now working on Bus Bound, which will be published by Saber Interactive.
