All nominees for the German Computer Game Awards 2024
The German Computer Game Award 2024 nominees are announced. Nominated in the category "Best German Game" are "Atlas Fallen", "Everspace 2" and "Fall of Porcupine". The award ceremony will take place on April 18 in Munich. Prize money totaling 800,000 euros.
The nominees for the German Computer Game Awards 2024 (Deutscher Computerspielpreis 2024) have been announced, with the main jury selecting the nominees from a total of 27 nominated games and prototypes. The awards will be presented in 15 categories and will honour the best games and creative minds in the German games industry with a total of €800,000 in prize money. On 18 April, the awards ceremony will be held in Munich. The German Computer Game Awards 2024 will also be streamed live on www.deutscher-computerspielpreis.de, Twitch and YouTube.
Three titles have been nominated for the top prize, Best German Game. "Atlas Fallen" by Deck13 Interactive and Focus Entertainment, "Everspace 2" by Rockfish Games and "Fall of Porcupine" by Critical Rabbit and Assemble Entertainment. The winner will receive a total of €100,000 in prize money, while the other two nominees will each receive €30,000. The Studio of the Year award, which comes with a €50,000 prize, could go to Aesir Interactive, Pixel Maniacs or Playing History. Voting is now open in the Player of the Year category. The jury of the German Computer Game Awards 2024 consists of representatives from the games industry, science, culture, media and politics and is chaired by Mareike Ottrand, Professor of Interactive Illustration and Games at HAW Hamburg. "I'm looking forward to the award ceremony in Munich and seeing the sparkling eyes of the winners!"
