MBB's new media funding supports seven games
Seven games projects are benefiting from the new media funding of the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg. This means that games will receive the largest share of funding, ahead of serial formats. Three XR projects will receive 236,000 euros.
In its fourth round of funding, Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg (MBB) is supporting a total of 16 projects in the areas of games, XR and innovative audiovisual content as well as serial formats. The total funding amounts to 2.3 million euros, of which more than half, just under 1.2 million euros, will go to seven games. Three XR projects will receive 236,000 euros. 800,000 has been earmarked for serial formats.
Due to financial difficulties in connection with the freeze on applications for federal computer games funding, the original application by Ghostwhale Games was withdrawn and resubmitted with an adjusted budget of 340,000 euros. The amount of funding promised for Lindwyrm in April 2023 was 250,000 euros.
In addition, "Lost Legion" by Tarock Interactive will receive €350,000, "Flüsterwald Interactive Novel" by Ueberreuter Verlag €200,000, "Illumentia" by Sentiment Games €160,000, "Drum Revolution" by GroovIT €96,000 in production funding, "Hannah's House" by Fein Games €63,500 and "Sanya" by Stanislav Galkin €30,000 in development or production funding.
