With just two weeks to go before the release of the major expansion, Shadows of the Erdtree, Elden Ring has apparently passed the 25 million units sold mark.

The release of the expansion Elden Ring: Shadows of the Erdtree on 21 June 2024 is expected to give the blockbuster a new boost. But even without the new incentive, the game from Japanese studio From Software has reached another milestone: As From Software announced via X/Twitter, more than 25 million copies of Elden Ring have apparently been sold since its launch. From Software, which works with Bandai Namco on the publishing side, sold the majority of these units in the first year after launch, when more than 20 million units were sold.
