In the final at Hamburg's Xperion, the team comprising Francesco "BVB_Virgil" Allocca, Dennis "BVB_Denninho" Malcherczyk, Luca "LucaFIFA72" Weber and Lucas "BVB_Lucas" Geerken emerged victorious against FC Bayern München. The matches were played in Ultimate Team mode in EA Sports FC 26. Borussia Dortmund finished second in the overall regular season table, thereby qualifying directly for the final tournament. In the knockout stages, they defeated FC Schalke 04, SC Paderborn 07 and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Felix Rentschler, Head of Virtual Bundesliga, presented the championship trophy to the BVB team: "Congratulations to the entire Borussia Dortmund team. The exciting final tournament, with its many close matches, reflected this season's new competition format. Five different showdown winners and 29 clubs qualifying for at least one offline showdown this season prove the league's high performance level. Many thanks to all the participating clubs and their players, and to our cooperation partner EA Sports, for their commitment to further developing the competition."

The VBL Club Championship is a Virtual Bundesliga competition organised by the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. During the regular season, 35 Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs compete for a place in the final. After the five showdowns and the playoffs, the sixteen best clubs competed in the final tournament on Saturday and Sunday for the prize money pool of €87,500.

As in previous years, players can qualify for subsequent competitions for the title of German Individual Champion via the VBL Club Championship by Wow. The VBL Open playoffs will be held on 28 and 29 March, offering the final opportunity to qualify for the VBL Grand Final. The knockout phase of the VBL Grand Final will take place as an offline event at Xperion in Hamburg from 18 to 19 April, following an online phase from 7 to 9 April.
