Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe announces its collaboration with France-based Sloclap on the online football action game Rematch. As part of this partnership, a physical version of the game will be released for PS5, distributed in the GSA region by Bandai Namco Entertainment Germany.

The physical Rematch: Elite Edition will be released on 14 November 2025 for the PlayStation 5 console. This edition includes all content from the first season, which will be released throughout the month, including cross-platform support, as well as additional digital content. This includes two Captain Pass Upgrade Tickets (Season Pass) and other cosmetic items.

Rematch was released digitally for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC in June 2025. Just three months after its release, the game had amassed six million players, partly due to its inclusion in Game Pass. In 3v3, 4v4 and 5v5 football matches in the digital arena, players take on the role of a footballer from a third-person perspective. There are no famous players or teams, just fast-paced, team-oriented matches with three to five players per team, set in colourful and sometimes weird arenas. Matches are short (six minutes plus extra time), intense, and require quick reactions, skill, and good teamwork. There are no offside rules, no fouls, no VAR and no set positions. The ball always stays in play. Anyone can play anywhere on the field, and the goalkeeper changes dynamically - usually to the player who is closest to the back.
