Mit dem Beitritt des Telekommunikationsunternehmens BT Germany verzeichnet der Bundesverband für Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien im August 2006 das 800. Mitglied.

Der Anbieter von Telekommunikationsdiensten BT Germany wird neues Mitglied beim Bundesverband für Informationswirtschaft, Telekommunikation und neue Medien (BITKOM). Der Verband verzeichnet mit dem Beitritt des 800. Mitglieds nun den Höchststand seit der Gründung 1999. Die Interessensgemeinschaft erhofft sich bis zum Jahr 2010 eine Zunahme auf insgesamt 1000 Mitglieder. Nach einer bundesweiten Untersuchung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Verbandsmanagement (DGVM) Mitte des Jahres 2006, wurde der BITKOM als Verband mit der höchsten Mitgliederzufriedenheit ausgezeichnet.
