Super Fantasy Kingdom Drops This October
This October, Hooded Horse and Hannover-based solo developer Super Fantasy Games will release Super Fantasy Kingdom into Early Access. This fantasy roguelite city builder game has been added to over 320,000 wishlists on Steam.
Hooded Horse and Super Fantasy Games will release the fantasy roguelite city-building game Super Fantasy Kingdom on 24 October 2025 via Steam, GOG, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store as an Early Access title. The game will also be available on PC Game Pass on day one via Game Preview.
In Super Fantasy Kingdom, players can choose to play as either the Undead or the Human Kingdoms. Both begin with their lands in ruins and only one hero to protect them. The game is divided into two phases. During the day, players must rebuild their kingdoms using minimalist city-building mechanics that reward careful planning and strategic choices. By night, players must defend their kingdom from increasingly difficult waves of enemies.
Super Fantasy Games and Hooded Horse: "They need not fight alone, however - brave warriors can be recruited either through random events, or via exploring the realm. Build roads that will link your stronghold up with the rest of the world, unlocking resources, meta-progression, and other units to recruit to defend the kingdom. But fear not, should the city fall and the forces of darkness sweep across the land, the king will awaken back at the beginning, ready to start a new run. Rewards, exploration, and other permanent unlocks will remain, making those crucial early days that much easier, letting players push further into the unknown and defeat stronger and stronger waves as they seek to unravel the mystery at the heart of the game."
Super Fantasy Games is a one-man development studio based in Hanover, run by Feryaz Beer. This is his first game, and he credits his dog, Mio, as co-developer - Mio also stars in the game.
