Bungie and Sony Interactive Entertainment have announced that Marathon will be released on 5 March 2026 for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with full cross-play and cross-save functionality. In Marathon, players scavenge the lost colony of Tau Ceti IV as a bio-cybernetic Runner, surviving hostile security forces, rival Runners and inhospitable environments in search of fortune. It is a PvPvE survival extraction FPS.

The game will be available in Standard and Deluxe editions, priced €39.99 and €59.99 respectively. The Deluxe Edition includes a Premium Rewards Pass Voucher and 200 Silk Rewards Pass Tokens, which can be used to unlock rewards and cosmetics in the pass. A Collector's Edition is also available on Bungie's website. Bungie promises access to all gameplay updates (maps, Runner shells, events, etc.) as the year progresses for all players.
